EFFICIENCY:
Designed and manufactured in accordance with parameters of the new European Standards for (International Efficiency) IE1, IE2 and IE3 – IEC 60034-30 RATINGS & PERFORMANCE: Class F insulation, with Class B temperature rise. Continuous duty (S1) – at an ambient temperature of 47˚, max altitude 1000 m.a.s.l. with supply voltage – 400V, 50hz with 10% voltage variations. Operating characteristics are guaranteed with the tolerances defined by IEC 60034-1. DEGREES OF PROTECTION: IP55 for Closed motors as standard, with IP56 & IP65 Available. IP23 for Open motors - to IEC 60034-5 COOLING: Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) or Open Drip Proof (ODP) – to IEC 60034-6 TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION: Mounting arrangements to IEC 60034-7 TERMINAL MARKINGS & DIRECTION OF ROTATION: Bi-directional fans are fitted. Terminal boards are supplied with 6 Terminals and is made of non-hygroscopic and mildew resistance material. Cable glands are supplied in the terminal boxes- To IEC 60034-8 NOISE LEVELS: Readings are available and are to IEC 60034-9 |
BUILT-IN THERMAL PROTECTION:
PTC150 in all motors and mounted inside motor terminal box, to IEC 60034-11
STARTING PERFORMANCE:
Suitable for all methods of starting – to IEC 60034-12
However for motors frame 315 and above, which are operating by means of a VSD / VFD, one of the
bearings need to be insulated to prevent damage caused by the Eddie Currents generated by the VSD.
2 pole motors – balancing is to a very high standard, (S) therefore motors have SKF INSOCOAT (Insulated) bearings pre-fitted.
4 – 6 – 8 pole motors, the bearing housings are insulated for VSD operation.
MECHANICAL VIBRATION:
to IEC 60034-14
TERMINAL BOXES:
Cast iron, oversized terminal boxes which are rotatable by 90˚.
BEARINGS:
For direct coupled applications - DE – ball bearings
OMEC motors have the DE bearings located which allows thermal growth to the NDE - NDE – ball bearings (see starting methods)
For belt driven applications - DE – Roller bearings
ANTI-CONDENSATION HEATERS:
Can be fitted as an option – 220V to separate terminal boxes.
PT100 RTD:
Available as an option to monitor bearing and winding temperature.
